Nicholai Lidow, Founder

Nicholai received his PhD from Stanford University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation. His academic research led him to develop cutting-edge methods for survey sampling and real-time data collection. Nicholai has more than a decade of experience in Africa, with a focus on Liberia and Somalia, and is an expert on civil war and post-war reconstruction.

Jon Eldon, Chief Science Officer

Jon holds an MSc in Tropical Conservation Biology and Environmental Science from the University of Hawaii and is completing a PhD in Agricultural Ecology at the University of California. His research focuses on nutrient dynamics in tropical agricultural ecosystems, with the goal of increasing rural food security through improved agricultural practices. Jon has conducted research in Hawaii, Tahiti, the Solomon Islands, Australia, the Caribbean, Mexico, and West Africa.
